16-Year-Old Pronounced Dead at Scene of Columbia County High Speed Crash

Race Day Live (WYOCENA, WI) – A 16-year-old girl from Pardeeville died early Sunday morning when her vehicle collided with a tree and overturned in Columbia County.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident shortly after 7:30 a.m. on West Bush Road, near Groth Road. According to preliminary reports, the vehicle ended up upside down after striking with a tree.

When deputies arrived, they found the substantially damaged vehicle and the driver, the only occupant, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to initial evidence, the vehicle was going westbound on West Bush Road when it lost control, went into the north ditch, and collided with a tree. Speed is thought to have contributed to the incident, despite the fact that the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The sheriff’s office has not revealed the girl’s identity since her family has yet to be notified.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends who are grieving this tragic loss,” the Columbia County Sheriff stated in a statement.
