Most individuals are unaware that driving can be a wild experience. This is because some drivers struggle to stay on the straight and narrow. For the second time in as many weeks, a Florida man attempted to avoid a traffic stop. Furthermore, police officers discovered that he was carrying narcotics in the vehicle.
Attempting to avoid a traffic stop is one of the worst things a driver can do
According to WKRN, Tennessee police officers discovered a Dodge Charger with Alabama plates on November 15. After spotting the vehicle, they suspected it was the same one that had earlier sped away from them. Naturally, they tried to execute a traffic stop on the motorist. As a result, the driver attempted to flee, as he had done before.
Of course, technology comes in helpful for police officers when vehicles attempt to avoid a traffic stop. Fortunately, the Metro Nashville Police Department helicopter was able to track the vehicle as it fled. At times, the Dodge sedan exceeded 100 miles per hour, nearly doubling the speed limit. The police officers chased the automobile up a hill before it came to a halt. They discovered that the driver was Brian Hamilton, 20.
Unfortunately, things did not get better with Brian when they were able to make the traffic stop. After exiting the truck, he began cursing at the cops. They also detected “an apparent odor of marijuana” emanating from the Dodge Charger. After searching, they discovered 119 grams of the drug, many bags, and a scale. This suggests he was most likely peddling drugs. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule VI substance, unlawful use of paraphernalia, and fleeing arrest in a motor vehicle. He was released from jail the next day.
