The racing community mourns the loss of Chris Carrigan

Passed on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 47 years. Chris was born on June 13, 1968 in Muskegon. Chris was a MSU Alumni with a degree in Construction Management. Chris leaves behind his wife Elaine Rico-Carrigan whom he married January 16, 2015, his two daughters Caitlyn and Clarissa Carrigan and their mother Julie Carrigan. His brothers Jeff (Nancy) Carrigan, Pat (Janice) Carrigan, step-sister Cindy (Brian) Turgeon, step-brother Don (Carrie) Major, his stepmother Helen Carrigan, Mother-In-Law Christine Rico, Sister-in-Laws Sherry (Robert) Marquez, Annette (Steve) Lockwood , Brother-in-Laws Joe Rico, Tony (Ruth) Rico, nieces and nephews and many devoted friends through his love of MSU Go Green, his professional career and his boating family. Chris was preceded by his father George “Ed” Carrigan, his mother June Anderson and his sister Kelly Beauperiant, and father-in-law Joe Rico. Chris was an avid Spartan Go Green! His passion for powerboat racing in the Formula Lights class #13 in the USF1 Powerboat Tour was his inspiration and the love and support from the boating family and his wife Elaine is a true blessing. Memorial service will take place 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. in Saginaw MI. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate.
