With the sun setting on the Miami boat show this evening one has to wonder why no series took the opportunity to showcase their category in front of thousands of boat show fans with a three boat exhibition race.
In just a few hours the 2016 Miami International boat show will have come and gone but one has to wonder with the show moving to a new temporary venue this year directly beside the now defunct legendary Miami Marine Stadium where countless races have been held this would have been the opportunity to showcase the sport in front of many high rollers and marine executives in town for the show. Are the series that make up the American Powerboat Association that well off and fully booked for 2016 and beyond that an opportunity like this should not have been explored. Guess we will never know, Im sure we will see lots of post on Social Media about struggling series throughout the year.
