Mother Nature has F1H2O season opener in choke hold “Saturday activity called off”

via @F1H2O: Saturday, 22 April, PORTIMAO (Portugal): The strong winds that have plagued this weekend’s opening round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship have forced the hand of race director Luis Ribeiro to postpone today’s official qualifying.

A revised timetable of activities will be announced shortly.

Update:

Saturday, 22 April, PORTIMAO (Portugal): The UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Portugal which was originally scheduled to start at 13.30hrs tomorrow [Sunday 23 April] will now start at 13.00hrs [local].

Today’s BRM Official Qualifying which was postponed due to the extreme winds gusting across the Arade River, has been replaced with a 90 minute timed practice session tomorrow morning starting at 09.00rs, with all 19 boats on the water for the full duration.

Revised Timings:

SUNDAY 23 April

09.00–10.30hrs: Practice/BRM Qualifying

13.00–14.00hrs: UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Portugal

14.10–14.20hrs: Podium Presentation
