Powerboat GP UK post info for this weekends regatta at Stewartby
If you are planning to join us this weekend — here is some useful information for you .
This weekend (01–02 July), many of the world’s top Powerboat racing stars head to Stewartby, Bedford for an action-packed weekend of international competition. Throughout the weekend competitors will battle for a GT30 individual European crown along with vital points in rounds three and four of the F4 World Championship and round two of the 0.125 and 0.250 Hydro GP European Championship.
Nineteen competitors from 8 Nations will compete in rounds three and four of the UIM F4 World Championship over the course of the weekend. Reigning World Champion Juno-Matti Manninen of Finland took an early lead in the championship campaign following the opening event in Finland and will be looking to continue his current good form. However, with a strong representation of British talent with eight competitors entered on home water, Manninen will have his work cut out for him. Reigning British Champion Sam Whittle will be looking to find the pace that won him the double British crown during 2016, whilst this year’s championship leader Ben Morse has been on fine form so far this season but suffered and electrical failure in round one of the F4 World Championship forcing him to retire from the race.
