Friday afternoon updates from the Madison Regatta
Thunder on the Ohio during testing “GP west brings the noise”
The countdown to racing has begun.
On Thursday, crews positioned cranes on the boat ramp in preparation for the arrival of the Unlimited hydroplanes.
The 67th running of the MainSource Bank Madison Regatta begins this afternoon with both the H1 Unlimited and Grand Prix West classes taking to the Ohio River for test sessions.
Heat racing begins Saturday.
Testing for the GPW series begins at noon today with the H1 boats hitting the water at 1:15 p.m. Testing will run until 4 p.m.
