Torrente signs with Abu Dhabi for 2018 where does that leave Carella?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of days you know by now that directly after the final heat at Sharjah the Silly Season started and Shaun Torrente has officially signed with Team Abu Dhabi for 2018. Reading all the way to end of the official press release put of out by F1H2O, this all leaves a glaring question. Where does Carella go? No official word from Team Victory yet that an offer has been extended to Carella, stay tuned as silly season ramps up.
“Alex did a great job he’s the world champion and a great driver. So I’ll do my best to fill those shoes in my way, doing it my way and being my own person. I’m not there to emulate Alex I’m there to be me. And I think the best of me is good enough to get the job done.”
The team has confirmed that Torrente’s teammates will be Thani Al Qemzi and Rashed Al Qemzi, which leaves one gaping question unanswered — where will the newly crowned four-time world champion Alex Carella surface?
