Detroit Hydrofest on Facebook; To our volunteers and boat racing fans: While you probably know, the DREI negotiations with H1 reached an impasse. While the Unlimited Hydroplanes will not race in Detroit this year, we want to make sure you save the dates (August 24–25) as we will continue the tradition of boat racing on the Detroit River.When our sponsor gives us the final go ahead, we will announce plans for the weekend racing.
