Vendors were calculating lost business, boat racers were lamenting a lost opportunity, and public officials were confirming their lost trust in the event organizer Wednesday, a day after the cancellation of this year’s EQT Three Rivers Regatta.

Ravenswood to host Ohio River Festival this weekend

RAVENSWOOD — The Ohio River Festival will be Friday through Sunday at Riverside Park in Ravenswood.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 10 and under.

The festival will feature a parade, entertainment, concessions, and other activities and attractions.

Pappas announces Thunder on the Niagara race details

This year’s Thunder on the Niagara boat racing event called the “fastest show on water” by organizers will take place Saturday, Aug. 3, and Sunday, Aug. 4, at Gratwick Riverside Park in North Tonawanda.

SEATTLE (July 31, 2019)- Seafair, an icon of summer in Seattle, celebrating their 69th year of hosting an unlimited hydroplane race on Lake Washington, is expecting several thousand race fans to the shores of Lake Washington for this weekend’s HomeStreet Bank Cup. Eight H1 Unlimited hydroplanes, the world’s fastest powerboats, take to the 2-mile race course beginning on Friday and continue through Sunday.

Ron Baker Sr Regatta

TCPBA is proud to announce that the Ron Baker Sr. Regatta will be making waves on Forest Lake August 3rd and 4th, 2019!
All of the action will be found downtown at Lakeside Memorial Park, where more than 50 powerboats with drivers from across the country and ages ranging from 12–75 years old, will compete in seven different classes of competition!

Race fans can expect to see action-packed powerboat racing in front of Lakeside Memorial Park on a ¾ mile buoy-marked course at speeds of up to 120 mph.

The Annual Ron Baker Senior Memorial Regatta, a national competition organized by the Twin City Power Boat Association and sponsored by local businesses, starts at 1pm Saturday and 12pm on Sunday, rain or shine.

The race is named after late Forest Lake resident Ron Baker, a TCPBA member who worked for several outboard and boat manufacturers and promoted local boat racing dating back to the 1950s.

11TH ANNUAL AWARD WINNING GREAT LAKES GRAND PRIX

In its 11th year, the award-winning Great Lakes Grand Prix features many of the world’s fastest and most powerful offshore powerboats and new this year is the exciting addition of P1 boats and AquaX jet ski racing. Throughout this exciting free 4-day event, walk through the park and chat with racers, team members and boat owners while getting up close and personal with these mammoth watercraft which will also appear in the boat parade, block party and Taste of Michigan City. All weekend long, enjoy live entertainment, family fun, food, drinks, and Racing!
