Breaking: Nascar bans the Confederate Flag at its events and properties

NASCAR has banned the Confederate battle flag at all of its events and properties.
In a Wednesdayย tweet, the stock car racing organization said the presence of the flag “runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and industry.”

This comes two days after 26-year-old driver and Alabama native Bubba Wallace, who is also NASCARโS only Black full-time driver, called for the racing organization to stand for racial equality in light of nationwide protests.
