“Yamato Motor Co. have announced the retirement of their director Hideo Kishimoto”

Yamato distributor Mike Ward post interesting news announced by the factory.

End of an era !

This week the Yamato Motor Co. have announced the retirement of their director Hideo Kishimoto. Hideo joined the factory 43 years ago from university and was the top engine guy answering our technical questions having been responsible for developing the racing outboards for the stadiums since 1985. Fortunately he spoke fluent English !Before his departure I queried the current situation regarding production changes to the model 331 and he says that none are currently planned. The factory have also ceased the development of a electric motor having abandoned a prototype 4-stroke motor several years ago, but may investigate the feasibility of E-fuels in the future.
