News broke across social media during the early morning hours of Tuesday that European drivers had lost one of their own fellow competitors. From everyone here stateside, we would like to express our most sincere heartfelt condolences to all of the friends and family. God speed Mattia Ghiraldi #27 RIP

CREMONA – Mattia Ghiraldi, 22, a rising star in the powerboat racing community, died suddenly of an illness. The young man, from Cremona, was one of the drivers of the C&B Racing team of San Nazzaro (Monticelli d’Ongina) led by world champion Alessandro Cremona.
