Manatee County, Florida — The hunt is ongoing for a 69-year-old man who went missing under “suspicious circumstances” last week after making a work delivery and has not been heard from since.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reported that William Golden, 69, went missing on August 20 after using his employer’s truck to make a delivery from Sarasota to 1112 Manatee Avenue E in Bradenton.

Golden’s employer reported him missing nine days later, on August 29.

While hunting for the individual, authorities discovered that Golden’s truck had been abandoned on I-75 in Manatee County on August 21, just one day after he went missing.

Deputies have been unable to reach Golden via phone, according to the sheriff’s office.

The 69-year-old is classified as an endangered adult. Anyone with information about his location should contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011.
