Massive Drug Bust in Hiram; Guns, Cash, and Narcotics Seized, Authorities Arrest Suspect

Hiram, GA – A massive drug bust in Hiram, Paulding County, has led to the seizure of large quantities of illegal narcotics, including heroin, cocaine, meth, fentanyl, and more. The operation, conducted by local, state, and federal authorities, took place at a home on Mayfield Court on November 14.

Dangerous Drug Stash and Seizures

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office officials reported finding a dangerous stash of drugs inside the house, including fentanyl, which authorities said could be deadly to over 500,000 people. Along with the drugs, more than $170,000 in cash and five guns were seized during the raid.

Arrest and Investigation

Darrlin Warner, 39, was arrested and faces multiple felony drug trafficking charges. Residents of the neighborhood, like Steve Wilson, who witnessed the raid, weren’t shocked, mentioning the unusual activity around the home leading up to the bust.

The operation was the result of a months-long investigation involving the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force, the GBI, and the FBI. Authorities emphasized the significant impact of removing dangerous narcotics from the streets and keeping the community safer.

“We’re thankful for the partnership with federal and state authorities, and proud of the hard work that helped rid our streets of this poison,” said Sgt. Ashley Henson of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
