One Pan Steak and Potato Dinner Recipe: Simple and Delicious!

This is a simple recipe to prepare for one or two people. This takes very little time to prepare because it is simply baked in the oven. You will require the following ingredients:

Recipe:

  • 10 to 12-ounce steak
  • 3–4 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • One tablespoon and one teaspoon of butter.
  • Two teaspoons of oil.
  • 1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning.
  • Season salt and pepper to taste.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees or the roast setting.

I cooked this dinner in an iron skillet, but you could use any oven-safe pan.

Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into little bite-sized pieces. Tip: Cut the potatoes smaller, and they will cook faster.

Place the oil, potatoes, onions, season salt, and pepper in a skillet and whisk to evenly coat everything.

Place a spoonful of butter on top of the potatoes and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Remove the skillet from the oven and swirl the potatoes about to form a hole in the center.

Season the steak on both sides with your favorite seasoning, then set it in the center of the pan. Return to the oven and bake until the steak is done to your liking. I prefer mine well done, so that’s how I prepared it.

Remove the skillet from the oven and spread a spoonful of butter on top of the steak. Enjoy!

Note: You can add any vegetable you like to this recipe, such as mushrooms, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and many more. Simply adjust the cooking time accordingly.

I prefer to serve this as is. I believe it is hearty enough to not require anything extra.
