I make this meal for my family all the time. It’s almost as good as the ones at the Mexican places in the area. It’s easy to follow the recipe. These things are what you will need:
How to make it:
- 1 pound of beef patties
- 1/2 of an onion, cut into small pieces
- shred 1 box of queso dip
- One cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of cilantro
- Use half a teaspoon of smoked paprika.
- Just under a teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- Add pepper and salt to taste.
- One bag of tortilla chips
- Warm up a big pan over medium-high heat.
Add the onions and ground beef to the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Turn the ground beef on low heat and stir it around a lot to break it up into little bits. Cook until the beef is fully cooked. Drain.
Add the milk to a medium-sized pan and the shredded queso dip. Heat this until it is smooth and creamy. Tip: If you’d rather, you could just buy your favorite queso dip and use that instead.
Put the meat back in the pan and add the coriander, paprika, garlic, and cumin. Also, add 1/2 cup of water. Let the beef cook slowly until all the water is gone.
Place tortilla chips on a plate. Then, spread cheese dip over the chips. Finally, add the ground beef. Have fun!
Note: If you don’t want to use the spices I did, you could also use a kit of taco flavor. I’d rather use the spices instead.
I like to put guacamole and salsa or pico de gallo on the side of these nachos.
