A restaurant in the North Bay that was recently punished for breaking regulations regarding child labor has taken the decision to close its doors.

After 15 years of operation, C Casa in Napa has announced on its website that it will close its doors.

In December, the restaurant in Oxbow Market was penalized more than $45,000 for employing children as young as 14 years old, as stated by the United States Department of Labor. The restaurant had hired children as young as 14 years old.

According to the administration of the federal government, the adolescents frequently worked during school hours beyond the hours that were permitted for their age group and even ran dangerous machinery.
