RDL – The award goes to a new hotel in Wildwood. No other hotel in the area has ever won it before.
The USA Today 10Best list just released that Madison Resort Wildwood Crest is the best new hotel. The best new hotels and hotels that got big renovations in the last 15 months were chosen by a group of travel experts. Then, readers voted for their favorites until a winner was chosen.
A news release from Madison Resorts says that this honor has never been given to any other hotel in South Jersey or the Greater Philadelphia area.
The Oceanview Motel, which was the first building, was bought and torn down in 2022, and the Madison Resort Wildwood Crest opened in May 2024. In 2023, Madison Resorts bought the Royal Hawaiian Motel next door and used it to grow their plans.
The work to fix up Madison Resort Wildwood Crest cost $54 million. It has 200 rooms, two restaurants, two pools, a wedding and event space, free bus service around Wildwood, and access to the beach.
The head of Madison Resorts, Dan Alicea, said he “was proud of his whole team who made this dream come true.”
“One of our main goals was to protect the classic architecture of these old buildings.” “This project has brought these towers back to life, made jobs available, and created a space where families can make memories that will last for years to come,” Alicea said. “We are very thankful for the votes and support of our team, family, friends, guests, and everyone else in Wildwoods and Cape May County.”
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition.”
There was not a single hotel from New Jersey or the tri-state area among the other 17 hotels picked for this type.
In honor of this achievement, Madison Resort Wildwood Crest is giving 10% off hotel rooms for stays until May 22. This deal will be good for the whole month of January.
