Revised Racing Penalties Issued After Appeals Hearing

2 min read

Following appeals, the penalties issued to drivers Bobby Pierce, Devin Moran, and Kyle Bronson have been adjusted by the World Racing Group Appeals Commission. Originally penalized for failed tyre tests, all three drivers have had their suspensions lifted, but adjustments have been made to fines and other penalties.

The Appeals Commission, comprising independent industry personnel, reviewed the cases and heard statements from the drivers and/or owners. While confirming that the tyres did fail to meet the required standards, the panel decided to modify the penalties.

Under the adjusted rulings, the 30-day suspensions for all three drivers have been lifted. However, they will still need to pay fines to have their suspensions officially lifted. Additionally, all three drivers are now placed on probation, meaning that any further violations will result in harsher penalties.
