A lady was detained in Illinois after allegedly battling with the administrator of an elementary school, who informed her during a meeting that police would be called because she dropped cocaine baggies, according to reports.
The incident involving Shakeda Barfield occurred on Wednesday morning at Welsh Elementary School in Rockford, according to WIFR.
According to authorities, Barfield was at the school for a meeting with the principal when she allegedly dropped baggies containing suspected cocaine. When the principal picked up the baggies, Barfield reportedly became furious when she learned that police would be called to the location.
According to WIFR, the 33-year-old is accused of repeatedly striking the principal in the face, clawing his face and arms, biting him, and strangling him with his tie.
According to media reports, she is now facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, aggravated violence against a school official, and disorderly behavior.
According to documents, Barfield was being held without bond at the Winnebago County Jail on Saturday.
It is not immediately clear what the meeting was about.
According to WIFR, the school was momentarily locked down while the brawl was taking place.
The principal sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately reply to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Saturday.
