Arkansas Pastor Charged with 100 Counts in Child Sexual Abuse Material Case

DELIGHT, Arkansas — An Arkansas pastor was arrested on October 15 after a September inquiry turned up child sexual abuse material on social media messaging apps, according to the Arkansas State Police.

James Vincent Henry, 43, of Delight, was investigated by special investigators from the ASP’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and charged with 100 counts of CSAM possession and distribution.

According to police, Henry is the pastor of Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Delight.

On September 25, 2024, ASP reported that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had notified them twice. According to the news release, agents executed a warrant and gathered messages from Snapchat and Kik.

On October 14, an arrest warrant was issued for Henry.

Pike County Sheriff’s officers detained Henry around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and charged him with 100 counts of CSAM possession, viewing, and distribution, according to the release.

Henry was sent to the Pike County Detention Center, where he remains in jail.

According to the Crossroads Assembly of God website, Henry formerly worked as a youth pastor at Newsong Church in Centerton.

According to the website, Henry and his wife fostered 76 children over four years at New Beginnings Children’s Home outside of Centerton.

For the next two years, the couple worked in a transitional housing program for women aged 18 to 25.
