The actress also said why she enjoyed playing the “funny, sharp, and witty” character Greer Garrison Winbury on the successful Netflix series.

Nicole Kidman has revealed how her husband Keith Urban reacted when they binge-watched her smash Netflix series The Perfect Couple together.

During an interview with British GQ, the 57-year-old Oscar winner described the show, which is based on The New York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand’s novel of the same name, as “binge-worthy because it’s just like, you go, ‘Okay, next, next, next.'”

“I watched it with my husband,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Okay, show me the next one. Let me see the next one. “When he says that, I know it’s good.”

During an interview with PEOPLE at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas in September, Urban, 57, had nothing but admiration for the series, which stars Kidman and Liev Schreiber as a wealthy married couple living in a magnificent Nantucket estate.

“I binge-watched the entire thing before it came out,” he explained. “It has been great. I’ve had so many people stop and tell me how much they enjoy it.”

Despite knowing the show’s ending before the broader audience, Urban kept any spoilers to himself.

“I’m the best secret keeper you’ll ever meet,” he told me. “I’ll go to my grave with secrets.”

Kidman told British GQ that she signed on to the series to collaborate with director Susanne Bier.

“I did it because of Susanne Bier, so that’s another female director that I just go,” she added, making a clicking noise. “She just called and asked me to play Greer. I believe you have never done something like this, and it would be enjoyable for you.”

“Liev [Schreiber], who plays Tag in it, my husband,” said the actress. “I was like, ‘Okay, I’ve got to have a partner here who’s a great actor, and he’s such a great actor, so it was just fun to be able to spar with him.'”

The actress praised her character as “funny, bright, and witty,” and added, “We had a terrific ensemble cast. Eve Hewson is the lead, and she’s fantastic, so she kind of had to take the load, but we were all there to support and assist her.”
