One Person is Rescued From a Vehicle Following a Collision With a Train, Closing Highways in Wisconsin

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin –  Authorities have reacted to a multi-vehicle train accident in downtown Oconomowoc, which has closed Main Street and Second Street/Summit Avenue.

According to a Facebook post by the Western Lakes Fire District, the area will be inaccessible for an extended length of time while emergency workers work on the incident.

According to the Western Lakes Fire District, one person was rescued from a car involved in the collision and taken to a local trauma center for treatment.

According to the post, the incident is being investigated by the Oconomowoc Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Residents are encouraged by the fire and police services to avoid downtown and use other routes while the investigation is underway.
