You may recognize you are disappointing someone, but you are not aware of how harsh you are being while doing so. You believe that the quick and straightforward “sorry, I’m not interested” is the greatest approach to rejecting someone, but not everyone appreciates the direct delivery. Even worse, you’ll speak your piece and then go as if the person doesn’t require any follow-up care. Some folks could need some kind words after rejection to lessen the blow, Aries–something you haven’t even considered. Add in the fact that people fall hard for you, and you have a recipe for some serious shattered hearts that will take longer to repair than you realize.
Cancer
You’re an emotional person, Cancer, which means you’re sometimes more concerned with your own feelings than with others. You’re the type of person who feels so bad about having to reject someone that they feel compelled to soothe you, even if they’re the one being rejected. While gazing inward and caring about your feelings is beneficial, it can get in the way of enabling others to feel things as well. Remember that other people exist, as does their sorrow.
Libra
Honestly, you don’t understand you’re breaking someone’s heart. That’s because you have no notion if someone is into you. You assume that everyone merely wants to be your buddy, and you rationalize every touch and uneasy laughter to reinforce that belief. So you treat the individual like a friend because you believe they are, and they read it as rejection. This even occurs when someone is essentially hurling himself at you. When a close friend tells you that someone likes you, you might want to believe them. After all, your ignorance could be causing you to miss out on a great relationship.
Aquarius
You, like Libra, are prone to missing signals that someone is interested in you. Even when you understand you have an admirer, you don’t take it seriously enough. You figure that if you don’t care, others won’t either. Sorry, but that’s simply not true. Being so casual when someone asks you out or expresses their affection for you hurts their feelings more than the rejection. Remember that it takes a lot of bravery to ask someone out, so don’t act as if they only inquired what time it is.
