A man who was wanted in Ohio for raping a child was caught in Washington County, Tennessee

Tenn.’s Washington County A guy who was wanted in Ohio on multiple counts of raping a child was caught at his home in Washington County, Tennessee, on Tuesday.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Charles E. Marteney, 31, was taken on warrants from Muskingum County, Ohio for the following crimes:

Three counts of raping a child

There are two counts of gross sexual imposition.

One count of spreading information that is harmful to children

The WCSO and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office started a joint investigation when they found out that Marteney lived on Muddy Fork Road in Washington County.

On Tuesday, arrest warrants were issued for Marteney, and he was subsequently arrested, according to the WCSO.

Marteney is being held at the Washington County Detention Center without bond as of Wednesday. He is due in court on Wednesday to start the process of transfer.
