YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The man was charged with felony assault after his girlfriend told police on Sunday that he grabbed the steering wheel while she was driving on I-680 and pushed her car into the concrete median.

In city court later Monday, 40-year-old Brad Sheridan will likely be charged with a second-degree felony.

It was said that at 6:55 p.m., police were called to Interstate 680 North for a crash. When they got there, they saw a car that had crashed into the median. The car’s driver told police that she was taking Sheridan back to his home in Barberton when they got into a fight because she didn’t want to take him home.

Reports say that Sheridan threatened to kill the woman’s cat and then grabbed the wheel, sending the car into the middle. The story says that he then ran away.

No harm came to the woman.

Soon after, Sheridan was caught at Mahoning and Glenwood Streets and taken into custody. He was taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
