An Arkansas Mom Was Arrested After Her Two Children Tested Positive for THC

Marion County, Arkansas — An Arkansas lady was jailed after two children tested positive for THC.

According to a press statement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Tamatha McPherson, 58, has been charged with two charges of introducing a controlled substance into the body of another and two counts of endangering the welfare of a juvenile.

McPherson’s arrest follows an investigation that began in April 2024, when a caller to the Arkansas State Police Child Abuse Hotline reported that two juvenile victims tested positive for THC after being detained at an in-home daycare managed by McPherson, according to the release.

McPherson is currently free on a $15,000 bond.
