Biden Roasts Trump’s Age and Memory at DC Dinner Bash

President Joe Biden didn’t hold back his humour at an exclusive dinner in Washington D.C. over the weekend. At the Gridiron Club and Foundation Dinner, attended by prominent figures from various sectors, Biden, 81, took a playful jab at his age and then at his predecessor, Donald Trump, 77.

In a lighthearted moment, Biden joked about the age and mental fitness of two presidential candidates, pointing out that one of them was unfit for the White House – “The other’s me,” he quipped to the audience.

The Gridiron dinner, an annual event, is known for its tradition of politicians teasing one another. While presidents don’t always attend, Biden made his first appearance since taking office in 2020.

Continuing the banter, Biden poked fun at Trump’s apparent confusion, saying, “Don’t tell him, he thinks he’s running against Barack Obama,” referring to an earlier remark by Trump.

Biden has previously teased Trump about his memory lapses, citing an incident where Trump mistakenly referred to his wife as “Mercedes.”
