As National Puppy Day approaches on Saturday, March 23, communities in the Tri-Valley region are gearing up for a series of exciting events.
Local shelters have organized adoption, fostering, and workshop activities to mark the occasion, encouraging prospective pet owners to consider giving a puppy a loving home.
In anticipation of National Puppy Day, the East Bay SPCA is inviting community members to explore adoption opportunities. They offer comprehensive adoption packages that include essential services like spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and registration. Additionally, discounts on training classes are available to new pet parents.
The East Bay SPCA also highlights the importance of fostering young puppies who are not yet ready for adoption. Fostering provides temporary care for these puppies until they are ready for adoption.
The organization is in need of more foster families to provide nurturing environments for these young animals. They provide all necessary supplies, medical care, and training support to foster families.
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue in Dublin is hosting dog adoption events at Dublin PetSmart West on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are eager to match puppies with loving families and help them find their forever homes.
Additionally, the Valley Humane Society (VHS) will conduct a fostering workshop on Tuesday, March 26, at 5 p.m. During the workshop, VHS staff will offer guidance on basic animal care and discuss expectations for participants interested in fostering animals.
