Clearwater Man Assaults Woman Over Political Disagreement at Early Voting Site, Police Report

Clearwater, Florida — Police say a guy from Clearwater was charged with a misdemeanor after hitting a woman with different political views at an early voting site on Saturday.

Police say 32-year-old Andrew Francis “acted aggressively and uttered obscene language toward a political opposition group” outside of the Clearwater Courthouse, which is being used as a site for early voting.

Police say Francis crossed the street and hit the woman from the “opposing political group” with his shoulder, which knocked her off balance.

Francis was charged with simple violence and taken to the Pinellas County Jail.

There was no other information available right away.
