Three people have been charged with trying to kidnap and kill a man in Texas who was having an affair with his wife.
The victim was shot twice and is now getting better. He told KHOU that he didn’t want to be named because he was afraid for his safety.
Court records show that on Sunday, Hana Ahmad Alolaimi, 35, and Omar Mahmoud Bishtawi, 48, were charged with aggravated attack and aggravated attempted kidnapping.
Both Alolaimi and the victim were married to other people, but they were seeing each other. Court papers say that the victim broke up with her when her wife found out about the relationship.
Court papers say that Alolaimi and Bishtawi then planned to kidnap and kill the victim.
Alolaimi is said to have left her car next to the victim’s when he went into a Chick-fil-A. According to court records, she waved for him to come over when the victim came out.
Alolaimi tried to leave with the victim once he was in the car, even though he had told her he couldn’t. Documents from the court show that Bishtawi then jumped out from under a curtain in the back seat of the car, choked the victim, and put a gun to his head.
According to court records, Bishtawi shot the victim twice, once in the thigh, when he tried to run away. According to court records, the victim might have died from the wound on his thigh if he wasn’t taken to the hospital right away.
Police say Alolaimi and Bishtawi gave them contradictory statements, and they are worried about the victim’s safety in the future, according to court papers.
He said he broke up with the woman three months ago because the relationship became unhealthy. He told KHOU that Alolaimi wouldn’t leave him alone and would even visit him at his new place.
The man who was raped said that Bishtawi told him he had to die because he had betrayed his wife.
