There’s been a lot of talk lately about the Philadelphia Eagles possibly trading their star pass rusher Haason Reddick. Reports say they’re looking for a second-round pick in exchange, but so far, no team has agreed to that price.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie spoke to reporters at the NFL annual league meetings and hinted that Reddick might end up staying with the team for the 2024 season. Lurie praised Reddick as a great player and person with strong ties to Philadelphia.
Back in February, the Eagles gave Reddick permission to seek a trade, even though he never asked for it. Reddick later expressed his preference to stay with the Eagles but acknowledged that football is a business.
Reddick is set to earn $16 million next season, but his contract isn’t guaranteed. It’s understandable that he wants a new deal, considering his performance on the field.
From what Lurie mentioned, it seems like Reddick might stay with the Eagles if another team doesn’t offer a second-round pick for him.

Keeping Reddick would be fantastic news for the Eagles, especially for their pass rush, especially since they recently signed Bryce Huff from the New York Jets.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks, but hopefully, it turns out well for the Eagles’ defense.
