People who retired in the US get a Social Security check every month to cover their costs. To keep things clear, some of them get paid on different days.
From what the Social Security Administration says, the first retirees to get a check in December are those who began getting payments before May 1997.
Every month, these people, no matter how old they are, will all get the same amount of money. The SSA will send three more payments to people who claimed their checks after that date. These will be sent on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
Full plan of December 2024 Social Security checks
More than 72 million people get money from Social Security. Because of this, the government had to make a monthly payment plan so that everyone knew when they needed to make payments for all of their payments.
Please look at the official payment plan or this list of dates coming up this month to find out more about when things are due.

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will pay people on December 31 who will get their January payments early.
Remember that people who get SSI will be the first people in the US to get a bigger Social Security check in 2025. The new cost of living adjustment (COLA) of 2.5% will be added to this check.
Some people will get their benefits on December 31 instead of January 1 because January 1 is a holiday. More people will start getting their bigger checks on January 3.
The December Social Security check is now official. Retirees will be able to get it in less than 48 hours.
Also, remember that if your benefits don’t come by the due date, you should wait at least three mailing days before calling or visiting your My Social Security account to see if your payment has been made.
Who will get how much money in their December Social Security check?
When people in the US retire, they can get different amounts of money. - $3,822 per month for those who decided to claim benefits until reaching 67 years old
