Florida Gas Prices Rise Slightly — Still Cheaper Than Last Year!

Gas prices in Florida have only changed slightly despite the spring break travel season and increased demand.

According to AAA, the average gas price in Florida reached $3.08 per gallon on Monday, up slightly from recent weeks.

This is 3 cents higher than last week and 8 cents more than last month, but still 37 cents lower than this time last year.

Mark Jenkins, a spokesman for AAA, explained the situation.

“Crude oil prices have remained steady despite various geopolitical issues. Last week, the state average briefly dropped below $3 a gallon for the first time since December,”

Jenkins said. “However, it quickly rose back to the current price, which is consistent with the range we’ve seen for most of this year.”

As of Monday, the national average price is also $3.08 per gallon.
