Race Day Live (Boca Raton, FL) – After her husband passed from injuries claimed to have come from a cane attached with an illegal blade, a Florida lady was accused of second-degree murder.

Terry Taylor, 58, is still under jail after police charged her over the murder of her husband, Stanley Taylor, 67. A news release issued to the Boca Raton Police Department Facebook page claims that on January 13, police responded to a medical emergency at the Taylor location around at 10:30 a.m. Stanley Taylor had a stab wound to his torso when they got there. Terry Taylor allegedly instructed neighbors to phone police and inform them her husband had “fallen on a knife.”

Terry Taylor told her neighbor according to the probable cause affidavit that her husband was “cutting something in the kitchen and fell” on a kitchen knife. She also mentioned Stanley Taylor experiencing a “diabetic episode.”

Stanley Taylor reportedly claimed that his wife had attacked him while he was undergoing medical care, saying, “The bitch stabbed me” and asserting that she sought to murder him. Terry Taylor reportedly acknowledged to a “physical altercation” resulting from an argument about a stereo system, owned by her father, which her husband had sold to his brother, when police spoke with her.

Terry Taylor said during the fight that her husband “black[ed] out about what happened,” so he “stabbed himself.” She said to police the couple had “physically struggled” over a wooden cane “while hitting each other.” Eventually she reached for another cane and said, “went at him with it.”
