Fort Wayne Man Arrested After Police Find 6+ Pounds of Cocaine and Cash in Vehicle during Traffic Stop

Kosciusko County, IN– Authorities reported that an Indiana man was taken into custody on Wednesday after state police discovered over six pounds of cocaine and a significant amount of cash in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

An Indiana State Trooper observed a black 2007 BMW SUV commit a moving violation while heading east on U.S. 30 in Kosciusko County, just before 3:30 p.m.

A trooper pulled over the vehicle at the crossroads of U.S. 30 and CR 150 West. According to state police, a K9 officer helped and signaled to officers about the scent of drugs.

Authorities found three kilograms, which is more than six and a half pounds, of suspected cocaine along with $3,000 in cash during a search of the SUV.

A 44-year-old driver from Fort Wayne, Jarvis Buchanan, has been arrested on a serious felony charge related to cocaine possession. He is currently in custody at the Kosciusko County Jail.
