A Georgia woman, Kristin Laymon, went missing in September while she was in North Myrtle Beach with her accused killer, Bornold Eberhart, according to authorities. Laymon, who had been working at a flower shop in Georgia, was reported missing by her daughter when she stopped responding to calls and emails.
Her bank account showed unusual activity, with multiple overdraft emails and a negative balance since September.
Laymon’s last known location was at a resort in North Myrtle Beach, where she was seen with Eberhart. Despite Laymon’s daughter stating she wasn’t dating Eberhart and had a different boyfriend, evidence suggests they were together.
Detectives believe Laymon was killed in the early hours of September 23 after an argument with Eberhart. Eberhart then left North Myrtle Beach and returned to Georgia with Laymon’s body in his vehicle. He was arrested on a murder charge and remains in jail in Horry County.
Authorities found what is believed to be Laymon’s body in Georgia, and investigations are ongoing. Several agencies assisted in Eberhart’s arrest, including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
