Heartbreaking Burglary: Mother’s Memories of Stillborn Son Stolen in North Little Rock

2 min read

Race Day Live (NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) – On January 4 Saulane Watson went back to her North Little Rock house to discover a terrible scene.

When Watson discovered her door was wide open and realized she had been a victim of a burglary, she phoned the police.

A police report claims that slightly under $5,000 worth of items were taken, however, the most valuable loss was a little box with little financial worth.

“That had my stillborn son’s belongings,” Watson said, “It had the outfit from when he was in the hospital. And it had his footprint. It had some of his medical records, pictures of me, him. All that was gone.”

She added the projected due date was Jan. 5, 2020, hence without the physical memories to hang on to, this time of year is especially difficult.

“That due date is still very important and heartbreaking to me because that was obviously the day my baby should have been in my arms,” Watson said.

Watson is driven to keep searching by an empty shelf formerly containing such memories.

“If nothing else is given back to me, I won’t care,” she said. “That specific box means the world to me.”

Police reports state that among other things TVs, gaming systems, and a laptop were taken.

Police from North Little Rock stated that no person of interest had surfaced.
