The person who was shot and killed at a home in Shingletown has been named as Cloverdale resident Jennifer Anne Sourp-Cain.
Sourp-Cain passed away at home in the 3400 block of Side Bottom Road in Shingletown on the night of October 24. Sixty-four.
Tuesday, the coroner’s office said that Sourp-Cain’s family had been told and that the body would be examined after the death.
The death of Sourp-Cain is being looked into, and a guy has been charged with killing him at his home. The sheriff’s office says that Joseph Colin Scribner used a shotgun to kill Sourp-Cain.
Scribner, who is 46 years old, went to Shasta County Superior Court for the first time last week to be arraigned. But Scribner did not make a plea.
The sheriff’s office in Shasta County said that when they went to Scribner’s home in Shingletown, they found a woman who had already been shot and killed.
