Democratic Rep. Jason Crow visited Hinkley High School in Aurora for a town hall, attracting a packed auditorium.
People came to hear where he stands on important issues and what Democrats plan to do about the Trump administration’s policies.
Hailey Foster, one of the attendees, said she wanted to know how her representatives are fighting for issues she cares about.
Standing Firm Against Opposition
Before the event, Crow made it clear that he was there to listen and show people he was on their side. He said, “I don’t do fear well. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves in the fight for them.” Crow also emphasized that he wasn’t afraid of facing people who might disagree with him.

After his speech, Crow opened the floor to questions. Joel Greenberg, who had attended a previous town hall, felt the event was positive but wanted more action-oriented discussion.
He said, “I wanted less of a rally and more optimism that people retain the power that’s been lent to one guy.” Another attendee, Hailey Foster, was also looking for more detailed answers.
She wanted to know the specific plans Crow and other Democrats have to counter Trump’s policies and Elon Musk’s influence.
Foster also felt that Colorado Democrats need to speak out more boldly, like other vocal representatives from different states.

Calls for Stronger Democratic Voices
Foster expressed her disappointment that she didn’t hear enough about how Democrats plan to fight back against Republican control.
She wants to see Colorado representatives be more outspoken and influential, similar to New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett. Foster believes stronger advocacy is needed to protect democracy and make sure community voices are heard.
