Kern DA The man who killed a child’s mother by cutting her more than 100 times was not given parole

According to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, Eric Holder will not be released from prison. Holder was found guilty of murdering the mother of his child by cutting her more than 100 times.

Holder, who is 59 years old, was not given a release on October 9 because the board thinks he is still an unreasonable threat to public safety.

Martin and Holder had been together for more than two years before she killed her. Holder and a friend were taking methamphetamine in a hotel room on January 24, 1994, when Holder made threats against Martin. He then forced her into the bathroom and stabbed her to death while she held their 8-month-old son, according to the DA’s office.

A news report from the DA’s office said Martin died from stab wounds to her throat, chest, and abdomen. The child had several cuts on his body.

Holder said the killing had something to do with drugs, and he believed Martin was part of a plan to get him. It was in 2016 that the victim’s mother told the Board of Parole Hearings that her daughter had “finally had enough and decided to leave,” which is when Holder killed her.

Holder admitted on July 21, 1995, that he had killed someone with a knife, used a knife, and meant to hurt a child. A news release from the DA’s office says he was given a sentence of 32 years to life in jail and was not allowed to get parole in 2016 or 2021.
