Man Allegedly Fires ‘Self-Defense Weapon’ in Butler County Road Rage Incident

Police say a man fired a gun at another man during a road rage incident. He is now facing charges.

The victim was crossing West Jefferson Street in the City of Butler when an SUV almost hit him. He then gave the driver the finger.

Police say the driver, 35-year-old Cory Thomas Eichert, got out of the car and started to fight with the victim.

It is said that Eichert went back to the car and got a “self-defense weapon” that shoots rubber balls. After that, he shot the person.

The cops found metal balls for the gun when they searched Eichert’s house.

Police say the person wasn’t hurt.

Assault and simple assault charges have been brought against Eichert. He is being held at the Butler County Jail.
