Washington – According to the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, a California man was sentenced to 13 years and 8 months in prison for his role in a massive drug trafficking scheme across the United States, including the DMV.
Paul Alejandro Felix, 25, of Glendale, California, was sentenced on November 12 for a conspiracy to distribute thousands of fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone pills purchased in California to various sites around the United States, including D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
On July 1, Felix pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl. He was also ordered to serve five years on supervised release.
Felix sold thousands of pills, typically for less than a dollar each. Felix is suspected of transferring tens of thousands of fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone tablets to downstream criminals based on communications evidence and physical seizures.
Felix was detained at his house in California on November 16, 2023.
