Man Was Arrested in Marinette County for Allegedly Trying to Meet a 13-year-old Girl

MARINETTE, WI- Marinette County authorities arrested a 25-year-old man on Tuesday after he allegedly attempted to meet a 13-year-old girl.

According to the announcement, the Marinette Police Department responded soon before 1 p.m. on October 15, 2024, to a complaint of a group approaching an adult male near Shore Drive and Parnell Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the incident included an adult attempting to meet with a 13-year-old.

As a consequence of the investigation, a 25-year-old Marinette man was arrested and booked into the Marinette County Jail on felony charges of using an electronic device to solicit child sex crimes.

The suspect’s name is being suppressed pending official charges by the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
