Marion County Man Arrested on Multiple Charges of Animal Cruelty

Marion County, Mississippi – Marion County authorities arrested a guy on various charges of animal abuse and unnatural intercourse.

Investigators said they got information on September 26 about animals being tortured and killed while being caught on film.

Deputies came to a Foxworth address to do an animal welfare check. Mason McMullin, 24, a Foxworth resident, was identified as the suspect. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed by investigators.

Following the interview, McMullin was detained, and a search warrant was served at his home.

On Friday, September 27, investigators obtained more information, prompting another search order at the property. During the search, deputies claimed physical and electronic evidence was gathered.

McMullin is charged with seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of unnatural intercourse. He is being jailed at the Marion County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
