Miami Gardens, FL – On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Miami Dolphins will host the 15th annual Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC XV) at Hard Rock Stadium’s Miami International Autodrome.
This signature fundraising event aims to support innovative cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System and the region’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center.
A Legacy of Support
Since its inception in 2010, the DCC has united cancer survivors, their loved ones, and the broader community under the motto “One Team, One Fight.”
Over the past 15 years, the event has raised more than $75 million, with 100% of participant-raised funds directly benefiting Sylvester’s efforts to advance cancer care through breakthrough science, leading-edge technology, and personalized patient care.

A Personal Commitment
Elizabeth Jenkins, chairperson for DCC XV, embodies the event’s spirit of resilience and dedication.
Following the sudden passing of her husband, Jason Jenkins, the Miami Dolphins’ Senior Vice President of Communications and Community Affairs, Elizabeth took on the chairperson role in 2023.
Under her leadership, the DCC raised $12 million last year, and she is committed to surpassing that milestone in 2025.
“In year one, we were riding for people who were inflicted by cancer. Now we are riding with survivors,” Jenkins noted, highlighting the progress made in cancer treatment and survivorship.
