Michigan Man Arrested in Arkansas After State Police Discover Explosive Device and Drugs

CONWAY, Ark. – On Sunday morning in Conway, Arkansas State Police officers stopped a car and then took out a bomb.

A search of 36-year-old Jeremy Lee Henry’s SUV by troopers found an explosive device, various illegal drugs, and several Social Security and ID cards. Henry was subsequently arrested.

A spokesman said the suspected bomb was a metal cylinder that looked like a CO2 cartridge and had a fuse that was 1 foot long. The ASP bomb team, along with bomb technicians from the Conway Fire Department and experts from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives, confirmed that the device worked as an explosive.

A source said that the device was taken to a different location and safely taken apart.

Police said that during the search, they also found marijuana, a mushroom candy bar, illegal prescription drugs, and drug tools in the SUV.

Taylor was arrested and taken to the Faulkner County Detention Center. He is being held on charges of criminal impersonation, driving while drunk, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a license that has been suspended or revoked, improper lane change, following too closely, and not wearing a seat belt.
