Where the New Intersections Will Be?

Two major intersections in Wheat Ridge will be upgraded:

38th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard
44th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard

How Does the Continuous Flow Intersection Works?

The Continuous Flow Intersection will redirect left-turning vehicles to a separate lane on the far left side of oncoming traffic.

This design allows left-turning cars to move at the same time as through traffic when the light turns green, reducing wait times.

With this system, when the light changes:

North and southbound traffic on Wadsworth can continue driving forward.
Left-turning vehicles can also go at the same time.
Right turns onto 38th and 44th Avenues won’t disrupt the flow of traffic.
