Animal mistreatment has been more common in recent years, but this awful example has taken everyone by surprise. The rescuers discovered a little kitten suffocating in a plastic bag, just clinging to life.
When Cypress House Kitten Rescue in Ohio learned about the kitten’s condition, they quickly launched a rescue effort.
A boy suffocated the kitten in a plastic bag and left it to struggle for survival. Fortunately, the rescuers arrived just in time to save the kitten and give him a new start in life.
After arriving at the rescue and being thoroughly examined, the kitten was given a bleak prognosis. The rescue alerted the public that the kitten was extremely ill and being treated in an incubator.
Lisa Jacobson, the kitten’s foster carer who named him Griffin, expressed concern about his condition, as he was exhibiting neurological symptoms.
Despite everything, the courageous little kitten displayed his determination to survive and refused to give up. Jacobson remained hopeful because she was an experienced foster carer. She stated in an interview:
Jacobson couldn’t understand why somebody would harm a tiny cat who posed no threat to anyone.
After what he had been through, the kitten would not have lived on his own. Fortunately, he was taken care of by doctors, who placed him in an incubator to allow his brain and body to rest and heal.
Griffin’s condition gradually improved as he received skilled care. However, another stunning finding began to emerge.
Griffin, it turns out, was not the only victim. According to Jacobson, nine more kittens were purposefully dispersed over a park as ‘coyote nibbles.’ Thankfully, all of the kittens were rescued on time.
Even though the root cause of Griffin’s ailment has yet to be identified, Jacobson is steadfast in his pursuit. She said:
Griffin demonstrated to be a fighter who does not give up easily. From the bottom of my heart, I hope he fully recovers without complications and finally has the opportunity to live the wonderful life he deserves.
